The day when I am 27

Happy birthday to myself! Father, I thank you that you have always provided wonderful friends for me to be by my side. I am so blessed.

Today I am 27, and help me to face life courageously, without any fears though at time i do feel insecure at the uncertainties of life and about my future. Your are the Way, the Truth, and The Life. You are my hope and strength too! Lord I love you because you first love me. Thank you, thank you & thank you.

Meeting Pei

I took a half day leave and spend the early part of the day with Pei.. who was on so call rest leave. we had a simple and comfortable meal at bishan J8 yoshinoya. always felt so comfortable when meeting old friend.. and after that i proceeded to the journey for work feeling a bit sad yet understanding that pei would not be able to join us for the dinner at Brotzeit, a german restaurant in vivo city facing the beautiful sea.

Work

Work was manageble and funny thing was that my colleagues all thought that i would be on leave.. for the past few years i m never one who take leaves on my birthday so far.

I knock off and proceeded to Vivo. Since I was a bit early, i went to the german restaurant to take a look. and got to meet Fritz a cute ah mo guy who helped me to reserve seat over the phone few days before.

Soon my secondary school kakis all came and we proceeded with our order. out of a sudden, there was someone who blindfold my eye with hands, and u guess who? it was pei! this naughty gal told me that she would not be coming when we meet up in the morning and suddenly appear in front of me, present me flower with a cheeky look.. that was real surprise!

so we proceeded with dinner and as usual i start to take some pictures. we had fun and again dunno why, whenever i talk to weihong (so call Mr Lim) we would end up bickering.. he said that my drink applestrudel (i formed this spelling myself as i forgot the exact spelling) taste and looks like one of a awful drink sold in coffeeshop.. irritating!

after a while, hui came and all of us took some pictures together asking the staff there to help us.. they were very friendly. and i told them about Fritz.. and yin was so naughty and daring.. ask him to take picture with me.. oh i would never dare to do that.. well anyway he was very da fang and took a photo with me and offered to hold my flowers though i say no need.. An interesting encounter and aquaintance once in a life time..

Later on, we proceeded to take more pictures and went to eat bean curd at rochor after that. met kelvin there surprisingly..

Then, i took cab with pei home.. and home sweet home and dreamland time.

Thank you once again for celebrating my birthday! you are such a blessings! must mentioned: pei, hui, yinn, man, fei & Mr Lim! I had an enjoyable day.

Malacca Trip

Finally.. time for blog! Recently, I find that my entries have always been long overdue.. Hee..Anyway here is a recall of my recent Malacca Trip on 1 & 2 March. Please see the link http://blog.cutegorilla.com/?cat=15 for more info and quality pictures.

Was getting excited for the day coz I have long look forward to Malacca by late Feb..even though that was a last minute decision.. You call it a break, or a day of rejenuvation, where i can put down all my emotional baggage from all areas of life.. Yes, that was what I want.. at least at that moment of time, to leave Singapore for a while.. and these two days i would not put on any make up. will be at rest!

Before the trip

Funny thing was that few days before the trip, I am such a big head prawn that I forgot to renew my passport which was due.. Expense of that was a bill of $90 for the renewed passport, temporary passport & passport photos done in a chop chop manner..

Then, the day before the trip I actually forgot to go money changer to change $$.. Worse still, at the same time, i realised i left my mobile in the office. Expense of that was to wake up super early at about 5.30am , a cab fare of about $20 from my place all the way to my eastern zone office and to change $$ at the Malacca Hotel.. which i felt was not exactly a good rate. seems screwed up right.. ironically, i m so meticulous when it comes to work i.e organising events.. will make sure everything run smoothly from A to Z.. but when it comes to myself i forgot to do this forgot to do that.. hee well, am determined to make the trip a nice one, thus shall forgive myself this time for being a big head prawn.

Took some time for the security check.. and by the time we reached Malacca, putting all the things into hotel.. it was already 3pm plus when we were heading for lunch.

So so hungry at that time that i left my camera in the hotel forgot to bring it with me. thus for the rest of the day, i did not take any picture. those u see above some are taken the following day, some are from ting.

Lunch

we went to a place called nancy's kitchen for lunch.. everything was so nice.. the place specialise in nonya food(hee i have 3 rounds of rice..very man right) the pop piah was also very nice. Next we went to another place to have chendol.. which was recommended by the gals.. yummy, it really was.. the ice was soft, portion is comfortable, quality is there.. better than those in singapore where i could not finish all by myself.. but the one in malacca here needless to say!

Shopping & Dinner at Capitol Satay

next we went shopping at the local shopping mall.. though am trying hard to compromise and get myself something but can't find anything i like.. in a way good, save $$. then we went to one of the cha can ting to catch a drink and after that we proceeded to capitol satay for dinner. wow the queue was long there.. despite being very full already actually by that time, we still catch some small stuff over there.. the concept was actually very interesting. capitol satay's concept was like a steamboat.. where instead of normal soup, they replaced it with satay curry sauce.. and heat it up and there we put those thing that we want to eat inside such as crab meat, fishball, meat, vege.. the list goes on..

Night Market Shopping

The meal was then followed by night marketing shopping. i walked for one hour and bought some earrings and cute stuff for my friends and colleagues. for myself, i bought a simple necklance.. feeling very satisfied, i carried this air to look for the gals waiting for me at geographical cafe looking very happy as best as i could remember. (as we gals go separate way while exploring the night market).

Yes i saw the gals.. each of them ordered a drink but still i feel too full to order anything else.

Out of a sudden i saw one of the stuff coming over with a small cake and i thought that was wrong order as she came with it on one hand, and walked away with it on the other hand.. then a while later, i realised it was the doings of the girls.. the cake was from them and perhaps they meant it as a surprise.. u gals are so sweet! well they sang happy birthday to me presenting me that small cake.. and somehow, i am seriously shy when people sing me a birthday song..

Sleeping time

Back in the hotel, washed up and it was sleeping time! the pillow and bed was really comfortable! I share the room with liyee and the other gals in the other room.. before liyee and i enter into our dreamland, we actually have a close at heart gal talk.. i shall not elaborate here.. hee

(anyway liyee hope yr leg is better that time after a few days.. be more careful when u walk next time)

Going back

the next day, we went for breakfast in the hotel with the voucher,eat po piah again, they did some shopping, and i went for massage.. oh ya we went to eat dessert again.. this time they tried chendol (u can imagine how good it is) and i decided to take ice kachang just for a try.. even though ultimately i think chendol is nicer.

then we board the bus as it was time to go back. had a&w for lunch and spend a large portion of time on the bus sleeping, dreaming, in a daze, settling my thoughts while listening to MP3.

For the past 3 days, I have been knocking off on time and managed to take the 6.15pm bus. enjoyed the MRT journey, enjoyed reaching home at about 7.30pm.

Once reached home, i washed my face immediately and got changed to get ready for running. before i stepped out of the house, my mum n dad was back with cadence. (sis was here also) together we lao yu sheng as today being ren ri. i took a few bites and run for about half an hour! Then it was dinner time! (by that time my brother was back)

Boss saw me on TV.. (any hole for me to hide..?)

Well, no one mention seeing me on S pop in work except one of my boss.. phew not too bad lah..
Anyway below are one of the conversation i had with boss which i tot quite funny.

Boss: hey u went s pop huh.. i saw u holding banner.
Me: erm u got watch s pop?
Boss: Ya ya i saw u..
Me: (I smile) aiyah at first want to sit at the back just listen to her songs in comfort zone..but they ask me to sit in front and hold the banner.. then ok lor
Boss: that's y.. i told my wife i saw a staff and she say no lah maybe u see wrong person
Me: Ya maybe you see wrongly.. it is not me :p
Boss: No no.. it is u.. so many times u on screen. Kit Chan good lah..

After the long break..

I screwed up again today, the first day of the week. Spent $28.35 on cab fare and was still late for work 20 min. Worse still today am AM DM (breaking resolution again. i need to wake up!) I felt so angry with myself. Cannot! Must changed! I can do anything through Christ Jesus who will strengthened me! Amen!

somehow was feeling a bit blue from all the post CNY happenings.. managed to get certain work done but felt lazy. will do better tomoro.

the whole day was bored.. till i get the first amazement of the day. realised that Ch read my blog. felt so because i have never given my blog add to any colleagues before .. yes never.. even when i started this blog in 2006 that time and how on earth did Ch found my blog add was i thinking .. (except for Irene) anyway welcome Ch. Just hope that my blog did not bored you to death. (Trust that you will keep all that was written here confidential k)

managed to catch S pop on tv at home today after work. went to watch it 'live' that time abt 2 weeks back so am wondering how would it look like on TV.. oh..felt so embarassed.. originally, that day, my intention was just to go and support K and enjoy her music comfortly and in a low profile manner.. then was requested to hold banner and sit in front.. i thought maybe the TV cast won't captured us that much so i thought maybe just be spontaneous lor. sign.. was wrong! there were so many shots of me.. really hope none of my colleagues will watch s pop or rather they will not recognised me on tv. am i getting shy as age coming up..? anyway.. it is over! hee.

My first blog for the Year

Today is the 2nd day of lunar chinese new year. Time to update this blog, a really overdue one. Here, I want to thank all who took the time to read my blog.

Now we are already in the 2nd month of 2008! And i know i did not give a conclusion of how I ended my 2007 here. Since 2007 was the past, I would not dwell too much on it but perhaps some of the good memories that I have and some of the things I wanna pen down for myself:

Thanks for the the treat of the drink that night in Oct'07. It was a special experience and will be in my heart. I know that it is not easy, perhaps even surreal and unbelievable. But wanna say here that I am contented enough. And am really happy to know that you are happy, living the live that you had wanted. I had always respect you for yours guts and for touching a part of my life. No matter what you are doing, God bless you. I plan to write you a letter soon.

V:
So great to see you in oct & dec '07. I miss you as always. Many thanks. For the star award tickets, for appreciating us, for being nice, for understanding us from our perspective. You are a classic example of what a truly beautiful woman means. I too am so happy that you are also living a live that you are happy about. Continue to touch lives the way you do now and God's strength be with you. I plan to write you a letter soon. Know and understand that you would not be coming to spore that often now.
