An unusual Day

One Tuesday I got a pleasant slight surprise in the office when i see dear wore a stripe long sleeve shirt. (though before hand i ponder upon the thought that he really will wear something different...) Got people say he handsome hee :p

We went to East Coast to cycle after work finally!! Though i was very tired.. but thought i really should move my body abit. by the time we reach ECP it was already about 7.20pm andwe both did not have our dinner actually.. so we cyle all the way to bedok jetty and we rest there for a while.. like the place but of coz would be better with lesser people and without the stink of the fish.. there are so many so call 'fisherman' on a weekday nite at the bedok jetty..

After that, we cycle all the way back to the bicyle kiosk.. by then were so hungry.. Thank God that despite initially we were deciding where to go for our dinner out of so many cafe, eateries.. the ultimate decision is City Food!! And it is a right decision after all.. Cheap, good outdoor ambience, polite and ever-ready staff to serve you, and good food.. Look at the photos.. Yummy right! Love the Yakitori rice and the Grilled Chicken rice both..Guess how much it cost? $3.50 only for per set. and if u want ice water or plain water, u can request it and will still see a smiling face of the staff :)

Nelly & Aaron Wedding

Attended dear's cousin , Aaron wedding in novetel hotel with him and his family on 15 March i.e Aaron & Nelly big day.

-self produced mtv-story of the newly-wed (esp since i dunno them that well)

-prayer lead by a pastor in an oriental set up restaurant

-solo singing accompany by guitar by groom (self composed piece)

-duet by the newly wed (think one off JJ duet)

-thanksgiving speech by the newly wed

-thanksgiving speech by good friends

Feel quite entertained and had actually enjoyed at the wedding dinner. What a blessing! :)

Worries - the killer of joy

Dinner at Merchant Court

It has been quite sometime since the last we had family dinner. This was the first time Da Baby joined in with us. upon the suggestion of mummy we went to merchant court for dinner.

Thank God for the meal though there was an unpleasant experience earlier on.

Kara & Nonya

Sometime back during the season of CNY, think chu si, met up with ting and pixie and the rest of the gang. we went to the party world in liang court.. unlike the usual party world, the one over there quite nice with lights.. can see the picture.. nice right.. anyway love kara!! & also it has been long since the last i kara.. had always enjoy going kara.. and have miss having kara with the gang.. which normally consist of me, ting, pixie and steph.

After that, as far as i remember, we have some time left before we meet other friends at Peranakan The Nonya Family Restaurant for dinner, thus we walk around liang court and back to steph car going for a car wash.. hee i felt amazed to be in the interior of the car while it bom bom

Peranakan The Nonya Family Restaurant was located in Keppel Club and think this was the 2nd time i been time. (was there for a retreat when i was still in Explomo) Though i forgot most of the names of the dishes we had, but food was nice.. not bad though most nonya dish appearance looks dull. Peranakan also caught my attention to their pledge saying something like they are committed to bring out their best of food for the glory of God. (forgotten the exact sentence.. but something like that) Anyway glory and praise to the Lord. may their business be good and their service and food will always stay on top though the location is a bit out of the way..

After that, i proceed home meeting Da Baby at tiong bahru. Oh yah thanks steph for the lift to there.. and also all for the day! God bless :)

Pre Valentine at Admiral Bar & Grill

Ah Bu and I finally went to this Admiral Bar & Grill.. we have been wanting to go there.. been very curious how it would be like on the hill side..

it was a very quiet place actually located inside Sembawang Country Club. We were then very curious how the place is being operated as it seems very layback.. and we imagine how it would have been like to work there.. lol.. we then explore the place walk walk here and there.. and saw got guardhouse.. and heard got swimming pool and chalet.

After which we proceed to the Admiral Bar & Grill to make our order.. lots of BBQ there.. if you are not afraid of heaty and love BBQ that is for you. The place was a bit noisy and perhaps hot.. but i did enjoy as to me it was kind of a chilling session from work. And that was a Pre Valentine Day for me.

The waitress kept on pressing Ah Bu to buy flower for me.. and I immediately say dun want.. not that i dun love flower but the amosphere is not right for that and it was very expensive for something you have to buy on the spot and not having to see it.. hee thus i say no to the waitress and waitor a few times when i can see Ah Bu like a bit wanting to buy..

Spiritual Foundation Course

Me and dear signed up for the Spiritual Foundation Class 1 and it started already on 1 March. so far we have faithfully attended the class 9am to 11am. Praise the Lord. His ever presence always be with us and for stengthening me to wake up early on Sunday..


This Sunday hope me and dear will be there at 9am sharp.. and no more lateness. We will be punctual. Amen.

V Day

A number of closed ones ask me how did i spend my first Valentine.. somehow or rather think i either forgot to answer them din have a chance to share or for some other reason.. again this is an overdue entries..

Ah Bu and I did meet up on that day on 14 Feb. We went to my cousin place as Ah Bu need to teach him how to use excel as we both decided to celebrate it on sun. (though we both fell sick that day. is'nt it an extraordinary way to spend a Valentine? spending a day with your loved ones during the weakest hour. We are both okay now so far. Thank God and believing him for more.) hope our presence did cheer my cousin up that day..

for some reason, we had a really late valentine dinner.. lol at my house at 10pm..

i cook vegetables and eggs. a very simple meal. beautiful things can be simple.. and perhaps indeed everyday can be a valentine..

The day I turn 28

The day I turn 28 - i felt quite numb about that actually nowadays though i am one year older.. perhaps in my heart as long as i still look young, feel young, feel accomplished, feel that i am on the go.. besides, i am young! (anyway one day when i am in heaven, God will give me a young body all over again)

Dinner at Bottled Tree and cheese cake on 3 Mar 2009

Went to Bottled Tree with Da Baby on that day after work. did not specially took an off for the ocassion as i forgotton why.. anyway food was nice and okay. we ordered sweet and sour grouper, kang kong and fish maw soup.. 3 dishes for 2 person is completely enough.

I kind of like the place there.. for the quiteness in the midst of river. having some time in between, we walk around.. and saw some people prawining in a small pond $30 for 3 hours..

time to go back.. we decided to make our exit and headed back to woodlands. Back home, mummy and jessie was home. soon the cheese cake in the fridge that was bought for me came out.. actually i told mum pandan cake is enough but somehow she insisted it was no good.. and eventually bought a plain cheese cake knowing that i m not a creamy cake person..

Actually, mummy jessie and Da baby is a weird combination group to celebrate my birthday with my dad and my brother working at that time. nevertheless i felt contented enough.. just as i knew that mummy and jessie would have been too shy to sing a birthday song to me.. Da baby give me a surprise by singing for me and leading the 2 of them.

Tea Time at Botanic Gardern on 8 March 2009

Pei, hui, hong, fei, man, yin, kenny and dear was there with me.. finally we did manage to go botanic garden having said that a lot of times. look at our food order and u can imagine we should feel quite full.. hee anyway knowing that i dun eat creamy cake, this gang put candle in a sandwich to in replacement.. hee i have seen candle in tart, candle in pizza.. sandwich is the first time i came across..

anway the food in botanic garden is okay.. if u are feeling stress, take a stroll there in the morning and imagine u are a tourist/retiree having a holiday.. the flower fragrance is very strong there..

after that we went to ang mo kio to have our bubble tea.. a simple and pleasurable birthday i had simply for the great company..

Note: thanks to all who celebrate my birthday with me this year.. Dear, Mummy, Jessie, Pei, Hui, Fei, Yin, Hong, Man and Kenny. And also all those who send me those beautiful birthday wishes msg. Also thanks to those who celebrate my birthday with me for the past few years.. beautiful memory stays.. Thank God for creating me :)

It has to begin somewhere

Oh, when i just visit my own blog i just realised it has been one year since i last update my blog which is about my last birthday.. (dear huiling, not half year but one year le! coz i erased my june entry for some reason. lol) but i really enjoy reading all my close friends' blog without my own input.. wat an enjoyment! hee..

have so many things to write and reflect upon, but too busy too lazy, haha and too many excuses.. i know it has to begin somewhere..

since i ended my last entry in march 2008 regarding my birthday, i will start my next subsequent blog entries for 2009 after this on my birthday and some updates perhaps.

The day when I am 27

Happy birthday to myself! Father, I thank you that you have always provided wonderful friends for me to be by my side. I am so blessed.

Today I am 27, and help me to face life courageously, without any fears though at time i do feel insecure at the uncertainties of life and about my future. Your are the Way, the Truth, and The Life. You are my hope and strength too! Lord I love you because you first love me. Thank you, thank you & thank you.

Meeting Pei

I took a half day leave and spend the early part of the day with Pei.. who was on so call rest leave. we had a simple and comfortable meal at bishan J8 yoshinoya. always felt so comfortable when meeting old friend.. and after that i proceeded to the journey for work feeling a bit sad yet understanding that pei would not be able to join us for the dinner at Brotzeit, a german restaurant in vivo city facing the beautiful sea.

Work

Work was manageble and funny thing was that my colleagues all thought that i would be on leave.. for the past few years i m never one who take leaves on my birthday so far.

After Work.. Brotzeit German Restaurant

I knock off and proceeded to Vivo. Since I was a bit early, i went to the german restaurant to take a look. and got to meet Fritz a cute ah mo guy who helped me to reserve seat over the phone few days before.

Soon my secondary school kakis all came and we proceeded with our order. out of a sudden, there was someone who blindfold my eye with hands, and u guess who? it was pei! this naughty gal told me that she would not be coming when we meet up in the morning and suddenly appear in front of me, present me flower with a cheeky look.. that was real surprise!

so we proceeded with dinner and as usual i start to take some pictures. we had fun and again dunno why, whenever i talk to weihong (so call Mr Lim) we would end up bickering.. he said that my drink applestrudel (i formed this spelling myself as i forgot the exact spelling) taste and looks like one of a awful drink sold in coffeeshop.. irritating!

after a while, hui came and all of us took some pictures together asking the staff there to help us.. they were very friendly. and i told them about Fritz.. and yin was so naughty and daring.. ask him to take picture with me.. oh i would never dare to do that.. well anyway he was very da fang and took a photo with me and offered to hold my flowers though i say no need.. An interesting encounter and aquaintance once in a life time..

Later on, we proceeded to take more pictures and went to eat bean curd at rochor after that. met kelvin there surprisingly..

Then, i took cab with pei home.. and home sweet home and dreamland time.
